The Franklin County Community Foundation’s funds management partner has been recognized as the top giving foundation in the United States.
The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation topped a list of the top 25 community foundations for total giving, according to an article on the foundation’s site.
The list was compiled by the national Foundation Center, which tracks foundation programs and giving. The center, widely regarded as the leading source of information on private philanthropic organizations, has offices in several cities, including Washington, D.C.
The Foundation Center looked at the giving of more than 730 foundations around the country.
The total figure for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation includes giving by it’s regional affiliates.
The Franklin County Community Foundation is an affiliate partner that was formed in 2000. It manages more than $4 million in assets.
